This is the combo I wanted, but it's tough to find a manual, i-drive, saddle brown, sport package car without xDrive. Too bad I was in a rush when I was buying, i would've held out to get this combo.

I think it looks best without the iDrive system. So damn clean.

I kinda like the double hump, but it does look super clean without it.

Mine does not have Idrive, and I prefer it that way. I do not have the saddle leather, had to take what I could get. Jeez it's gorgeous!

My mom test drove one with saddle leather at a dealer with all the options she wanted (not as exciting as your list unfortunately). Turned it down because of the "football interior".

yeah but iDrive fucking rules
It used to be shit. But the more recent versions are excellent. They make other systems feel like Atari going up against the latest Xbox

That is an M-sport though, not a sport package haha, just had to be that guy. I know what you mean it took me forever to find the combo I wanted, thankfully I wasn't in a rush, and the E90's really do have a fantastic interior.

I don't know. It made me so mad I stopped trying to adjust it. I hate it.
The bluetooth setup for voice calls is excellent though. People can hear me better in the 997 than any car before or since it. Isn't that ironic given where the engine is?

Oh, is that yours? I'm loving the 335is pedals. Tell me more about the gauges, the light grey reminds me of the E39 M5/E46 M3.

Thanks, yep that's mine the day I picked her up. The 335is basically received all of the M-sport interior accessories as standard equipment, so it has the pedals, dead pedal, door sills, and a few other items on top of the other M-sport standard equipment. Yeah, I love what they did with the "is" specific gauges also, it's the 335i cluster with unique bezel inserts (at least I believe only the bezel inserts are different with "335is" inset logo in the tach). Thanks for pointing out the connection to the E39/E46 M's, I knew they looked familiar but somehow never put 2 and 2 together.
I really, really love the car. True, it needs an LSD and I will be installing one, but I love how it's more "old school" despite having the N54 and not naturally aspirated. I love that there's no sport button, how the car is always on, how the exhaust burbles like mad... It's a blast.
Okay, enough about mine. What combo did you end up getting?

The exhaust on the 335is is amazing. The 335is all around is just a great car, an LSD makes it even better (a friend of mine that tracks his installed one about a year ago). The aftermarket for the N54 is great, you'll easily be able to squeeze out 400whp if that's what you desire. Installing some M3 suspension components makes it even better.
I ended up going Sparkling graphite on black, originally wanting an LCI M-sport in lemans on saddle brown. Not a bad combo at all, but sometimes a little boring IMO.

I didn't get the post done as planned. But I have two good reasons:
1. You became famous as fuck with your FP post. I didn't want to divert any traffic away from your post. Now you're famous for a reason other than pissing off BMW enthusiasts!
2. I had an unplanned date yesterday with a new girl. Texted her to see how she was doing and she wanted to hang out. And get this - she drives Manuél and wants to try racing! She wants to buy an old sports car from the 70s.
It was really hard to stop myself from proposing on the spot...

1. Hahahaha how does it feel to be famous for a good reason?
2. I thought she would think I was crazy and never talk to me again so I bit my lip.
3. Just saw it's your birthday. HAPPY FUCKING BIRTHDAY!!! Now you're not a teen anymore!

Also I'll paste what I told Evan earlier about last night. I was embarrassed to have car problems with the girl in the car. But it just showed how cool she was. Instead of her being annoyed by it or scared that we were driving 15 MPH in downtown LA with the hazzards on she joked that this is why modern cars suck and why everyone should drive cars from the 60s and 70s. She is like a hot girl version of you, haha.
——————-
omg i'm so ready to pledge my full faith and devotion to Manuél
i need him to absolve me for my sins. i'm sorry for having purchased two paddle shift cars
last night i was leaving downtown LA in the E90 and it had a computer glitch. it was running super rough with maybe 25% of its normal power. but the WORST part was that no matter what i tried the car kept upshifting! going into manual mode didn't work - it still kept upshifting no matter what. so not only was the engine not running properly but it kept going all the way to 7th so i could barely move!
i pulled over (in a super sketchy part of town) and turned the car off and back on. luckily it was a lot better after that. no more loss of transmission control. it was running a little rough but not nearly as bad as before.
lesson: always go Manuél
with Manuél you can still have engine problems, but at least you won't have transmission problems compounding the situation!

1. Pretty awesome. Some guy at the head of the PCA offered to use my car as a showcase to make into a proper rallycross car (tune, skidplate, wheels, tires) from Team O'Neil. I declined because timing and such.
2. Just don't fuck it up!
3. I'M HAVING A QUARTER LIFE CRISIS

You should just trade in both M3s and the 911 for a Hellcat right now.

Hahahahaha. Having a 2 in front makes you feel hella old.
Omg I started thinking about all the options today and it made me crazy. It will be easier to just fix the E90. Just imagine all the multitudes of possibilities if I traded the bimmers or ALL the German cars for a car. So many options it makes my head spin.
At least I never have to worry about selling the secret car. I literally don't care how much I have to spend to keep it running. I will never, ever sell it. If there is ever a point where I can't afford a repair then I'll just park it and drive a 190E until I have the money to repair it. I'm gonna have that car till I die.

Yes it is that good. Dat gated shifter. Dat engine noise. My god every car should have a gated shifter! Why doesn't the Corvette have one? The Corvette is basically an American V8 version of the Ferrari 599. It has the engine and transmission in the same exact places. Why can't a gated shifter be used?
Haha glad you liked it.

My guess is that ze Germans and the Muricans refused to use them because they didn't want to seem like they were trying to be Italian
Which is a shame. Who cares who uses them and who doesn't. Use what feels awesome!
And also the external gate makes it impossible to crunch gears. So it actually has a function.
